Amscan Inc. Announces Product Recall

Earlier today Amscan Inc. was advised that the item Ugly Teeth (item number 394207/390630) which it distributes has been found in end user testing to contain an impermissible level of lead. Amscan has historically tested this item and the results of those tests indicated that the product was safe.


In the interest of public safety Amscan Inc. is contacting the Consumer Product Safety Commission to advise it that Amscan has initiated a voluntary recall of the item. Amscan is telling its customers to discontinue the sale of the item and to offer a full refund to any consumer who might have purchased the item in question, while it continues to investigate this issue.
